I have penned down some thoughts on how Renase feels about the school, as well as my views on her teachers and the school’s programmes.
I want to say that I have seen Renase's spoken Mandarin improve quite a lot, so I can only think that the curriculum and Mr Seah's teaching have contributed to this. Please convey my thanks to him.
It has been 3 months since my daughter Renase started her primary school journey at Waterway Primary School. I am glad that she's enjoying school every day because she truly feels the care and dedication from her teachers, Mdm Sayidah and Mr Seah. My sincere thanks to the both of them for making the transition to Primary 1 a smooth one for Renase, and for making learning fun and interesting for class 1E.
As a parent volunteer for the school's Mass Walk programme, I can see how the children benefit from it. Not only do the children get to enjoy the fresh air along the Punggol Waterway, they also get an early exposure to science and nature. The teachers and kids would take 'pit stops' to talk about interesting nature sightings, such as bees extracting nectar from the flowers or being introduced to different types of plants and how they reproduce. The kids are also taught safety rules since the Punggol Waterway is a popular cycling route. Such experiential learning is a great way to complement classroom teaching, so keep it up!
